Diane Vogt is a lawyer and principal
in PeopleWealth, providing
retention services to improve job satisfaction
for lawyers. She is co-author of PeopleWealth's
book, Keeping Good Lawyers: Best Practices
to Create Career Satisfaction, published
by the ABA Law Practice Management Section
in May 2000. Ms. Vogt is an experienced
public speaker, presenter and educator.
Ms. Vogt received her Bachelor of Arts
degree in Education, with great distinction,
from Oakland University in 1974 and
her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude,
from Wayne State University in 1980,
where she was Associate Editor of the
Wayne Law Review. Ms. Vogt is rated
"AV" by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory
and selected as a Leading Florida Attorney
by her peers, an honor bestowed upon
less than 5% of all practicing attorneys.
She was a litigation partner in the
Detroit, Michigan law firm of Clark,
Klein & Beaumont until July of 1992
when she moved her practice to Tampa,
Florida. Ms. Vogt is a member of The
Florida Bar and the State Bar of Michigan
and admitted to practice in several
federal courts. Ms. Vogt has extensive
trial experience and has acted both
as local and national counsel for major
corporations on complex product liability
matters.
Ms. Vogt was an Adjunct Professor,
teaching trial advocacy, at Wayne State
University Law School for several years.
She is an active member of The Florida
Bar, State Bar of Michigan, the ABA,
the Hillsborough County Bar Association,
the Hillsborough Association of Women
Lawyers and Defense Research Institute.
Ms. Vogt served on the Michigan Bar's
Law Firm Marketing Committee and now
serves on the Florida Bar Standing Committee
on Quality of Professional Life as well
as the HAWL Mentoring Committee. She
has been an active member of the Greater
Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Chair of
Preview Tampa Alumni, Vice President
of Encore Theatre Advisory Board. Ms.
Vogt is editor of The Rap Sheet, the
quarterly newsletter of the Florida
Chapter of Mystery Writers of America.
She has been a presenter and panelist
at several writers' conferences, including
BoucherCon '99. Ms. Vogt is the author
of two novels, Silicone Solution and
Justice Denied, and is currently working
on the third Judge Willa Carson novel,
Gasparilla Gold.
